For the Upcoming Exam We are providing Daily words. As we know English plays a very vital role in our day to day life. Thus, it is necessary to have a good knowledge and understanding of English vocabulary Too.


1. Continuity - noun - the unbroken and consistent existence or operation of something over time - निरंतरता


Ex : "a consensus favouring continuity of policy"
       "a breakdown in the continuity of care"

Synonyms: continuousness, uninterruptedness, flow, progression

Antonyms: apathy, instability, lethargy, unsteadiness, weakness, end, break, discontinuity

2. comprehensive - adjective - including or dealing with all or nearly all elements or aspects of something - व्यापक

Ex : "a comprehensive list of sources"

Synonyms : all-inclusive, broad, complete, encyclopedic, exhaustive, extensive, far-reaching, full

Antonyms: empty, incomplete, limited, narrow, needy, restricted, short, un comprehensive

3. constitute - verb - be (a part) of a whole - निर्मित करना

Ex : "lone parents constitute a great proportion of the poor"

Synonyms : amount to, add up to, account for, form, make up, compose, comprise, represent.

Antonyms: destroy, ruin, break, disarrange, disperse, divide, end, exclude

4. Complex - adjective - consisting of many different and connected parts - जटिल

Ex : "a complex network of water channels"

Synonyms: compound, composite, multiplex

Antonymssimple, single, uniform, unmixed, apparent, clear

5. caress - verb - touch or stroke gently or lovingly - दुलार

Ex :  "she caressed the girl's forehead"

Synonyms: stroke, touch, fondle, brush, skim, pet, pat, nuzzle, kiss; cuddle, embrace, hug

Antonyms: beat, hit, affect, earn, establish, expunge, gain, gasp, germinate, rap, blossom, attain, bang 

6. contend - verb - struggle to surmount (a difficulty) - संघर्ष करना

Ex : "she had to contend with his uncertain temper"

Synonyms: cope with, face, grapple with, deal with, take on, pit oneself against; resist, withstand

Antonyms: agree, comply, go along, hide, make peace, retreat, surrender, yield, abandon

7. Cajole - verb - persuade (someone) to do something by sustained coaxing or flattery - बहलाना

Ex : "he hoped to cajole her into selling him her house"

Synonyms: persuade, wheedle, coax, talk into, manoeuvre, get round, prevail on, beguile, blarney, flatter, seduce, lure, entice, tempt, inveigle, woo; informal sweet-talk

Antonyms: disenchant, repulse, turn off, discourage, disgust, dissuade, bully, force, repel

8. celibacy - noun - the state of abstaining from marriage and sexual relations -  क्वांरापन

Ex : "a priest who had taken a vow of celibacy"

Synonyms: chastitystar, abstentionstar, continencestar, frigiditystar, impotencestar, maidenhood

Antonyms:     promiscuousness

9. cling - verb - hold on tightly to - अडिग रहना

Ex :  "she clung to Joe's arm"

Synonyms: hold on to, clutch, grip, grasp, clasp, attach oneself to, hang on to, hold tightly, clench; embrace, hug, cuddle.

Antonyms: loose, loosen, unfasten, discontinue, halt, let go, release, stop, detach

10. calamity - noun - an event causing great and often sudden damage or distress; a disaster - आपदा

Ex :  "emergency measures may be necessary in order to avert a calamity"

Synonyms:  disaster, catastrophe, tragedy, cataclysm, devastating blow, crisis, adversity, blight, tribulation.

Antonymsadvantage, benefit, blessing, boon, favor, good fortune, good luck, happiness
