Answers

1.b
5/8 x 48/100 x 12 = 3.6 lakh

2.c
2/5 x 40/100 x 17.5 = 2.8 lakh

3.a
54/100 x 10.6 + 65/100 x 15 = 15.474 lakh

4.d
(70 x 16.8)/(100 x 12) x 100 = 98%

5.c
5/9 x 45/100 x 100 = 25%

6.b
Let a be the side of the square
(a+6)^2 - a^2 = 192
Solving, we get a = 13
Area = 169 sq.m

7.d
Area of the wall = 2(l +b)h
= 2 x 14 x 5 = 140 sq.m
Cost of painting  = 140 x 13.5 = 1890 Rs.

8.d
Let l be the length, b be the breadth and r be the rate
l x b x r = 10800....(1)
(l - 5) x b x r = 9450.....(2)
dividing (1)/(2)
l / (l-5) = 10800/9450
Solving, we get l = 40 metres

9.e
10 + 8 + 80/100 = 18.8%

10.c
Volume of the cylinder = Volume of the cone
22/7 x 7 x 7 x 12 = 1/3 x 22/7 x 7 x 7 x h
Solving, we get h = 36 cm.
