Answers

1.b
Total Post graduates in H = 80 % of 3360 = 1888
No: female Post graduates =1888 - 1800 = 888
Total no: females = 5/14 x 3360 = 1200
Required % = 888/1200 x 100 = 74%

2.d
A= 7/12 x 100 ~58
B= 5/16 x 100 ~31.2
C=11/21 x 100~52
D=2/5 x 100 = 40
E=6/13 x 100~46
F=21/41 x 100 ~50
G=7/15 x 100 ~46.6
H=5/14 x 100~35

3.d
No: male employees in B = 11/16 x 2880 = 1980
No: male employees in G = 9/14 X 3360 = 2160
Total = 1980 + 2160 = 4140
No: female employees in C = 11/21 x 2310 = 1210
No: female employees in D = 2/5 x 3575 =1430
Total = 1210 + 1430 = 2640
Ratio = 4140/2160 = 69 : 44

4.e
Post graduates in A, B and D = (2568 x 75/100 + 2880 x 65/100 + 3575 x 60/100) = 1926 +1872 +2145 = 5943
Average of Post graduates in A, B and D = 1/3 x 5943 = 1981.
Post graduates in F, G and H = (75 % of 2788 + 55 % of 3720 + 80 % of 3360) = 2091 + 2046 + 2688 = 6825
Average of Post graduates in F, G and H = 1/3 x 6825 = 2275
Required difference = 2275 - 1981 = 294
