1. Raveena could get equal number of Rs.55, Rs.85 and Rs.105 tickets for a movie, she spent Rs.2940 for all the tickets, how many of each did she buy?

Ans: a) Let the number of tickets of each value = X.
Then, 55X + 85X + 105X = 2940 => X = 12.

2. The respectively ratio between the present age of Aarti and Savita is 5 : X. Aarti is 9yr younger than Jahnavi. Jahnavi's age after 9yr will be 33yr. The difference between Savita's and Aarti's age is same as the present age of Jahnavi. What will come in place of X?

Ans: e) jahnavi's present age = 33 - 9 = 24yr, Aarti's present age = 24 - 9 = 15yr
Now, Aati : Savita = 5 : X = 15 : 3X => Sabita's present age = 3X yr
3X - 15 = 24 => X = 13.

3. Ruby's monthly income is 3 times Gayatri's monthly income. Gayatri's monthly income is 15% more than Priya's monthly income, Priya's monthly income is Rs.32000. What is Ruby's annual income?

Ans: b) Gayatri's monthly income = (32000*115)/100 = 36800
Ruby's annual income = (12*3*36800) = 1324800.

Ans: d) Number of males in company = (4800*45)/100 = 2160

7. Mrs. Sharma invests 15% of her monthly salary, i.e., Rs.4428 in Mutual funds. Later she invest 18% of her monthly salary on Pension Policies; also, She invests another 9% of her salary in Insurance Policies. What is the total monthly amount invested by Mrs. Sharma?

Ans: b) Let monthly salary = X. 15% of X = 4428, X = 4428/15 * 100 = 29520
Total investment = (15% + 18% + 9%) = 42% of X = 42/100 * 29520 = 12398.40

10. If sum of three numbers is 65. If the ratio of the first to second number is 5 : 3 and that of the second and third number is 7 : 3, then what is the second number?

Ans: c)The ratio among the three number = 35 : 21 : 9
Second Number = 65/(35+21+9)*21 = 21.
